Education in the Kumawu Constituency has received another major boost as the Member of Parliament, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has once again stepped up with a GH¢150,000 educational support package for 400 BECE candidates preparing to enter Senior High School.

The kind gesture, which included chop boxes, trunks, exercise books, certificates, and cash donations, is part of the MP’s ongoing effort to ease the financial pressure on parents and motivate students to pursue higher education with confidence and dignity.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Hon. Anim reaffirmed his deep commitment to educational development, describing education as the cornerstone of Kumawu’s progress.

“When we invest in education, we build a stronger, more prosperous future for Kumawu. My dream is to see every child go beyond the basic level and achieve greatness,” he stated passionately.

This initiative marks the third consecutive year the MP has personally supported BECE candidates a consistent demonstration of his belief in the transformative power of learning. His focus, he said, is to produce well-educated professionals who will drive Kumawu’s development agenda in the years ahead.

Parents and students couldn’t hide their joy and appreciation, calling the intervention timely and inspiring. Many said the support has lifted a heavy burden off families struggling to meet SHS entry expenses.

“Hon. Anim has proven that he truly cares about the future of our children,” one parent said. “He’s not just talking about education,he’s investing in it.”

The MP assured the community that this initiative will be sustained and expanded in the coming years, emphasizing that education remains the most powerful weapon to break the cycle of poverty and empower future generations.
