The process of enstooling a Denkyirahene (King of Denkyira) is very traditional and sacred, guided by customs that have been passed down for centuries
Nomination by the Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III,Denkyirahemaa (Queen Mother).

The Denkyirahemaa, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III, holds the primary authority to nominate a successor.

She considers royal lineage, leadership qualities, moral uprightness, and acceptance by the royal family.

    Approval by Kingmakers

Once the Queen Mother nominates a candidate, the Abusuapanin (family head) and the Kyidom division chiefs deliberate on the choice.

Ritual consultations are also made with the ancestors through traditional priests.

    Performance of Rites

Sacred rites (akwanhyia) are performed, including purification of the Bankam Dwa (sacred stool).

The new chief must swear the oath of allegiance to the people and the ancestors.

    Public Outdooring (Enstoolment Ceremony)

After secret rituals, the new Denkyirahene is publicly outdoored to the entire Denkyira state and Ghana at large.

The Leading Candidates for Denkyirahene,According to our closed source, three men are at the center of the succession race:

    1. Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam
