    MTN Ghana Supports Bonnwirehene With Cash ,Others Ahead of Kente Festival

    Mr. Simon Amoh, Senior Manager- General Trade, MTN Northern Ghana on Wednesday presented an assorted drinks hamper, 1000 cedis worth of airtime and a cheque of GhC 10, 000 cedis to the Bonwire Traditional Council.

    The gesture, Mr Amoh noted was towards the upcoming Kente Festival which is celebrated by the Bonwire chiefs and people.

    Speaking to the media later, the MTN Officer said his outfit believes in the sustenance of friendships as well as relationships, adding that the company sees the people of Bonwire as its partners in business.

    “The Bonwire Kente Festival as we’ve come to know is an ancient culture which binds the people of Bonwire and Asanteman together and as a brand that does business in Bonwire we decided to extend a hand of support so that the traditional authorities can have a successful ceremony and grand durbar from the 14th to the 20th of October 2024”, Mr Amoh stated.

    Mr Amoh also disclosed that MTN having been a worthy business partner, would capitalise upon the opportunity the upcoming festival presents and publicise its activities.

    He said the company would also use the privilege to advertise its products including its data services and network applications to the public.

    Mr Amoh said there would be officials of MTN who would be present in the community throughout the week of the festival so as to carry out education and activations on the brand.

    “We plan to use the opportunity this upcoming festival will offer us by carrying out activations and sensitization of services provided by MTN”, the Senior Manager stressed.

    Receiving the items on behalf of the Traditional Authority, Chief of Bonwire, Nana Bobie Ansah II, thanked MTN Officials for the gesture.

    He dislosed that MTN had become a perrenial supporter of the Kente Festival.

    Nana Ansah therefore charged other companies, corporate outfits and institutions to emulate the good corporate relationship MTN has with the Chiefs and people of Bonwire.

    “I am happy to see the importance MTN Ghana attaches to our relationship and we pray this continues for our mutual benefit as we look ahead of celebrating the Kente Festival in grand style with them “, the Chief stated.
