    NPP Elects New Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency Executives in Peaceful Poll

    NPP Elects New Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency Executives in Peaceful Poll

    The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has elected a new crop of constituency executives for the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency following a peaceful and well-organised election held at Kotwi Jordan on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

    The election, which attracted a high turnout of delegates, was supervised by the Atwima Kwanwoma District Office of the Electoral Commission under the leadership of the District Electoral Officer, Mrs. Elizabeth Ohene. The exercise was conducted smoothly and concluded without any major incidents, reaffirming the party’s commitment to democratic internal elections.

    At the end of the polls, Abraham Kofi Oduro Kyeremateng was elected Constituency Chairman after securing 1,358 votes, defeating Emmanuel Asuah Dadzie, who polled 425 votes.

    For the position of First Vice Chairman, Michael Gyau Nantwi won with 1,348 votes, while Isaac Nyame Essempong garnered 432 votes.

    George Kofi Tweneboah emerged as the Second Vice Chairman after obtaining 1,182 votes, defeating Emmanuel Nana Ofori Amoabeng, who secured 606 votes.

    In the contest for Constituency Secretary, Richard Sarpong recorded a landslide victory with 1,412 votes, while Joseph Adu Poku received 375 votes.

    The Deputy Secretary position was won by Felix Baffour Awuah, who polled 1,347 votes to defeat Gertrude Asamoah Ampong, who obtained 437 votes. Eight ballots were rejected.

    For the Constituency Organizer position, Patrick Kofi Antwi secured a commanding victory with 1,461 votes, defeating Fred Kwadwo Yeboah, who polled 327 votes. Eight ballots were rejected out of 1,796 total votes cast.

    In the Women’s Organizer race, Ama Tiwaa was elected after polling 1,230 votes, while Akua Adutwumwaa Ameyaw secured 560 votes.

    The Treasurer position was won by Evans Freduah Agyemang, who garnered 1,376 votes to defeat Samuel Garbrah Gyabaa, who received 413 votes.

    Meanwhile, Emmanuel Amponsah was elected Youth Organizer unopposed, while Nana Osei was endorsed unopposed as the Communications Officer. The Nasara Coordinator position was also filled unopposed during the election.

    The successful conduct of the election has been praised by delegates, party members and election officials, who described the process as peaceful, transparent and credible. The newly elected executives are expected to foster unity within the constituency, strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and spearhead preparations for future political activities and elections.

    The Atwima Kwanwoma constituency election forms part of the NPP’s nationwide reorganisation exercise aimed at electing competent executives to lead the party at the constituency level as it rebuilds and positions itself for upcoming electoral contests.
