The Member of Parliament for Sekyere Kumawu Constituency, Hon.Ernest Yaw Anim, has embarked on a constituency-wide tour, engaging communities and supporting key sectors with essential items aimed at improving the living conditions of residents.

As part of the tour, the MP donated streetlights to Bomeng,Dadease and Kumawu to help improve visibility at night, enhance security and enable residents to conduct their businesses safely after dark.

Speaking to the media,Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim explained that the initiative forms part of his commitment to addressing some of the immediate challenges confronting communities within the constituency.

According to him, providing adequate lighting in communities is important not only for security but also for supporting economic activities and improving the general wellbeing of residents.

Hon.Ernest Yaw Anim also extended his support to the health sector by presenting hospital materials, personal protective equipment (PPEs) and laptops to selected CHPS compounds and clinics across the constituency.

He said the intervention was intended to strengthen healthcare delivery and provide health workers with some of the resources needed to serve residents effectively.

The MP emphasised that access to quality healthcare remains a key priority and pledged to continue supporting initiatives that directly benefit the people of Sekyere Kumawu.

Hon.Ernest Yaw Anim said his ultimate objective as Member of Parliament is to ensure that communities and individuals within the constituency experience meaningful improvements in their daily lives.

He noted that his constituency engagements would enable him to interact directly with residents, identify their challenges and work towards addressing them through practical interventions.

HEALTH DIRECTOR CALLS FOR UPGRADE OF CHPS COMPOUNDS

Meanwhile, the District Health Director for Sekyere Kumawu, Mr.Bismark Amankwa, has appealed to the government and other stakeholders to increase investment in healthcare infrastructure and services in the district.

He called for the upgrading of existing CHPS compounds into health centres to enable them to meet the healthcare needs of the growing population.

According to Mr. Amankwa, upgrading the facilities would improve access to quality healthcare and reduce the pressure on existing health centres.

He further appealed for the Sekyere Clinic to be upgraded to a polyclinic to serve as a referral centre for residents within the district.

Mr.Amankwa said such an upgrade would bring specialised healthcare services closer to the people and reduce the need for residents to travel long distances to access appropriate medical care.

The constituency tour and donations by Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim have been welcomed as interventions aimed at addressing immediate community needs while strengthening key areas such as security, economic activity and healthcare delivery in Sekyere Kumawu.
