    Suame, Ashanti Region-Thursday, October 16, 2025

The Suame Municipality has officially launched the Inter-Community Under-17 Soccer Competition, a major step toward promoting peace, unity, and youth development through sports.

The well-attended event brought together football coaches, the Suame Municipal Police Command, and several community stakeholders, all showing strong support for the initiative.

Speaking at the launch, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, the Municipal Chief Executive, said the competition is not just about football but also about fostering love, discipline, and togetherness among the youth. He urged all participating teams to play in the spirit of peace and mutual respect.

The initiative enjoys the full backing of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene, and the Suame Municipal Assembly-a clear sign of their joint commitment to using sports as a tool for youth empowerment and community growth.

The competition officially kicks off on October 26, 2025, at the Kronum Astroturf Park, where participating teams will battle for glory and bring pride to Suame and the Ashanti Region.

Hon. Owusu Ansah thanked all contributors and encouraged continued collaboration to make Suame a beacon of unity and development.
