THE GLORIA POKU-ADUSEI FOUNDATION DONATES IN THE BEKWAI CONSTITUENCY

The Gloria Poku-Adusei Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sanitation, safe drinking water, hygiene, and quality education in Ghana, has made two significant donations today 23rd August, 2024 in the Bekwai Constituency.

On an earlier time, the foundation donated over 500 sanitary pads to female students at Denyaseman Catholic Senior High School in the Bekwai Constituency. The donation, was part of the foundation’s periodic project, aimed to empower young girls to remain in school and promote menstrual hygiene awareness. Mrs. Gloria Poku-Adusei, Founder and President of the NGO, emphasized the importance of openly discussing menstrual hygiene issues and equipping adolescent girls with knowledge and confidence.

Ergo, on same day, the foundation donated 6 packets of roofing sheets, GH1000, and 4 boxes of LED bulbs to artisans at the Denyase Industrial Area in the Bekwai Constituency. The donation supported the re-roofing of their toilet facility, creating a conducive and hygienic environment. The old structure had been subjected to weather-related disruptions due to its poor condition, causing significant inconvenience to users.

Lawyer Mrs. Gloria Poku-Adusei, wife of Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Bekwai Constituency, presented the items, exceeding the artisans’ expectations by adding GH1000 and LED bulbs to enhance security measures at the Industrial area. The artisans’ leadership expressed gratitude for the huge donation, stating it would go a long way in solving their long-standing problem.

Both donations demonstrate the foundation’s commitment to supporting various communities, organizations, and institutions, aligning with Mrs. Poku-Adusei’s birthday celebrations. The events were well-attended by members of the foundation, NPP Constituency executives, fans of Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei, and well-wishers.
