Winners rewarded for customer loyalty as telecom giant celebrates 30 years of connecting and empowering Ghanaians

Three lucky customers of MTN Ghana have each received a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado after emerging as winners of the telecommunications company’s MTN at 30 Mega Promo, organised as part of celebrations marking its 30th anniversary in Ghana.

The three-month promotional campaign, which ran from June to August, formed part of MTN Ghana’s anniversary activities aimed at rewarding customers for their loyalty and continued patronage of the company’s products and services.

The three winners were presented with their vehicles at a ceremony held at MTN Ghana’s Kejetia branch in Kumasi, where company officials and the beneficiaries celebrated the milestone.
Speaking at the event,Sandra Oduro,Senior Specialist, Consumer Segment at MTN Ghana, said the company would give out a total of nine vehicles under the promotion.
She explained that the first vehicle presentation had already been held in Accra, with the Kumasi ceremony serving as the second presentation, while another ceremony was expected to take place in the coming weeks.

According to Ms.Oduro, the anniversary celebrations were not only about marking three decades of operations but also about appreciating customers who had supported the company over the years.

“MTN is celebrating our 30 years of being in Ghana,30 years of connecting with customers and 30 years of making things happen,”she said.

She disclosed that more than 30,000 customers were expected to benefit from various rewards being rolled out as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Ms.Oduro further assured customers that MTN Ghana would continue investing in its services to respond to changing consumer needs, particularly in the areas of data and network services.

She added that the company would soon roll out its 5G service, further expanding its digital connectivity offerings.

    MTN Highlights Digital

    Transformation
Also speaking at the ceremony, Maxwell Arthur, Senior Specialist,Segment Marketing at MTN Ghana, highlighted the company’s contribution to the transformation of financial transactions in Ghana through its Mobile Money(MoMo) service and other digital platforms.

He said the company’s decision to reward customers was driven by appreciation for the support Ghanaians had given MTN Ghana throughout its years of operation.

“Ghanaians have supported us very well, and because of that we decided that Ghanaians also benefit from this anniversary celebration for the support they’ve given us,”he said.

    Winners Share Their Experiences

The three beneficiaries attributed their success in the promotion largely to their regular use of MTN services.

Faustina Asante,a beverage business owner and frequent user of Mobile Money and voice services, said she initially doubted the authenticity of the promotion after coming across an advertisement on TikTok.

“I almost thought it was a lie when I saw the promo advert on TikTok,” she said.

She expressed excitement at becoming one of the winners and said her persistence in participating had ultimately paid off.

Another winner,Wasila Mahama,a businesswoman, said she increased her purchases of airtime and data after seeing an advertisement about the promotion.

“I didn’t believe I’d become a winner, but I thank God I have been able to be a part of the winners,” she said.

For Halidu Tanko, an engineer who said he had been an MTN customer since 1996,his winning entry was linked to his routine use of the company’s services.

He said his regular transactions, including Mobile Money and airtime purchases during the promotional period, eventually earned him the unexpected reward.

“It is the normal transaction I was doing. MoMo,buying airtime for the last three months,”he said.

    30 Years of MTN Ghana
MTN Ghana commenced operations in the country in 1996 and is marking three decades of service with a series of anniversary activities and customer-focused initiatives.

The company says the celebrations are intended to recognise the loyalty of its customers while highlighting its contribution to Ghana’s telecommunications and digital financial services sectors.

The MTN at 30 Mega Promo is among the initiatives being used to reward customers as the company celebrates 30 years of operations in Ghana.
