    We Have Security Systems That Protect Our Subscribers Against Fraudsters- MTN Officer Aserts

    The Senior Manager for MTN Ghana (Commercials, Northern Sector), Simon Amoh has calmed down tempers following the hike in cyber crime.

    He has asserted that, the telecommunication giant, MTN has heightened security systems put in place to ensure that subscribers do not fall prey to fraudsters.

    Public sensitization at durbars on the need for subscribers to avoid compromising their momo pins, not visiting strange website among other activities were underlined by him as some of the interventions.

    The above according to him are all aimed at ensuring that people stay alert so as to protect their funds and other resources.

    He however said that the fight again cyber or momo fraud is a joint responsibility.

    For him, subscribers have to abide by guiding principles spelt out by MTN officials to stay safe.

    “The responsibility is dual. I put out the information. It is for you to also make sure you stay responsive”.

    Simon Amoh made the above indication in an interview with newsmen, granted on the sidelines of the National Cyber security Challenge (Regional and Zonal Competition) held in Kumasi on 13th-14th August, 2024.
