You Have No Moral Right to Question Me- Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu Slams Critics Over Daddy Lumba’s Burial Controversy

Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu, family head of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has launched a blistering response to individuals questioning him about the musician’s burial location.

Speaking on the Kumasi-based political morning show Ezra Adehyee with host Sir Mike, the outspoken family head did not mince words as he challenged the credibility of his critics.

According to him, those demanding answers about Daddy Lumba’s burial arrangements lack the moral authority to do so because they deliberately failed to attend the final funeral rites held at the Kumasi Heroes Park.

“You cannot question me about the late Lumba’s burial location when you intentionally refused to attend his final funeral rites at Heroes Park,” he declared.
Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu described the criticisms as hypocritical and opportunistic, arguing that genuine stakeholders would have shown respect by participating in the funeral rather than raising concerns after the fact.

He maintained that the burial and funeral processes were conducted in accordance with tradition and with the involvement of the appropriate authorities.

He further stressed that attempts to discredit him or cast doubt on his leadership would not succeed.

His comments have intensified ongoing public discourse surrounding the late musician’s burial and family decisions, sparking fresh debate across Kumasi and beyond.

The final funeral rites at the Kumasi Heroes Park drew thousands of sympathizers, industry players, traditional leaders, and fans who gathered to pay their last respects to the music icon whose influence shaped Ghana’s highlife genre for decades.

As tensions continue to simmer, observers are calling for calm and unity to protect the legacy of Daddy Lumba and preserve harmony within the family.
