ATWIMA KWANWOMA DCE HONOURED WITH INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD IN KIGALI

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Atwima Kwanwoma District, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has been honoured with a prestigious international award in recognition of her exceptional leadership in local governance and public service administration.
The award was presented during the 3rd edition of the She Achievers Award ceremony held at the M Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda.
The recognition, conferred by the Business Executive Group, celebrates outstanding women who demonstrate excellence, influence, and dedication in leadership and professional service across various sectors.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah was named the “Most Outstanding Female Leader in Local Governance and Public Service Administration,” marking the third international recognition she has received within just ten months of assuming office as DCE.
In her acceptance speech, she expressed deep appreciation to the organisers for acknowledging her commitment to public service. She noted that true leadership should not only be measured by institutional achievements but by the positive impact leaders make in the lives of the people they serve.
According to her, effective leadership must be people-centered and driven by a strong desire to bring meaningful development and transformation to communities.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah also used the platform to inspire women across Africa and beyond to remain determined and resilient in the pursuit of their ambitions, regardless of their background.
She emphasised that where a person comes from should never define or limit the heights they can achieve, adding that dedication and hard work ultimately yield rewarding results.
The DCE further commended the organisers of the She Achievers Award for creating a global platform that recognises and celebrates women who are making significant contributions in governance, business, and public administration.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah attended the ceremony in the company of the District Coordinating Director of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Shaibu, along with other officials from the Assembly.
She also expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, for the trust and confidence reposed in her through the opportunity to serve as District Chief Executive.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah reaffirmed her commitment to working closely with stakeholders and residents of the district to promote development and improve the living conditions of the people of Atwima Kwanwoma.
The award further strengthens her growing reputation as a dynamic and impactful leader in local governance, whose dedication to service continues to attract both national and international recognition.
