KUMASI ON FIRE: ASHANTIFEST 2026 MTN CONCERT ROCKS HEROES PARK WITH UNMATCHED ENERGY

The city of Kumasi witnessed an electrifying takeover on Saturday, April 11,2026, as the MTN AshantiFest Music Concert transformed Heroes Park,Asokwa into a sea of sound, lights, and pure entertainment.

What began as a modest community initiative has now exploded into one of Ghana’s most powerful entertainment showcases, firmly placing Kumasi at the center of the country’s creative economy.

    ASHANTIFEST: THE DRIVING FORCE

At the heart of the excitement is AshantiFest,a flagship month-long festival that continues to redefine culture and commerce in the Ashanti Region.

Led by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council in collaboration with telecom heavyweight MTN Ghana, the festival celebrates the rich traditions of the Ashanti people while creating real opportunities for economic growth and youth empowerment.

From sports to arts and community-driven initiatives, AshantiFest has grown into a major force, with its headline music concert emerging as the ultimate crowd magnet.

    HEROES PARK ERUPTS WITH ENERGY

By 9:00 PM, Heroes Park was already buzzing. What unfolded was more than a concert, it was a full-scale entertainment spectacle, powered by cutting-edge sound technology and dazzling light displays.

Thousands of fans were treated to a non-stop lineup of thrilling performances that kept the energy levels soaring throughout the night.

    STARS DELIVER, CROWD GOES WILD

The stage lit up with unforgettable performances from top-tier acts.

Kweku Darlington and Oseikrom Sikani set the tone with rich local vibes and lyrical intensity.

The momentum peaked when DopeNation took over, turning the entire park into one massive choir as fans sang along word-for-word.
Anchoring the night was DJ Slim, whose flawless transitions ensured there was never a dull moment.

    NEXT GENERATION TAKES THE SPOTLIGHT

AshantiFest stayed true to its mission by giving emerging talents a major platform to shine.

Rising stars including Cyril Fuego, Seven Kizs, O’Kenneth, and Queen Jem delivered impressive performances, signaling a bright and promising future for Kumasi’s music scene.

A NIGHT THAT WILL BE TALKED ABOUT FOR YEARS

The 2026 edition has already gone down as one of the most vibrant entertainment nights in Kumasi’s recent history.
For fans, it was all about connection, energy, and unforgettable vibes. For the city, it was a bold statement of its growing dominance in Ghana’s entertainment and creative industries.

As the lights dimmed and the crowd slowly dispersed, one truth stood clear:

AshantiFest is no longer just an event, it is a movement, boldly projecting the Ashanti Region onto the global stage.
