Kasoa Police Rally Youth to Fight Crime
Police urge residents to report suspicious activities as traditional leaders call for unity and peaceful coexistence ahead of Opeikuma Kumbe’s annual Unity Gala.

The Ghana Police Service has called on the youth in Kasoa to play an active role in the fight against crime by promptly reporting suspicious activities to the police for immediate intervention.
The appeal was made by the Kasoa Divisional Commander in Charge of Operations,ASP Patrick Obeng,during a Unity Health Walk organised by the Omankrado of Opeikuma Kumbe in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.The event forms part of activities leading to the community’s annual Unity Gala.
Addressing participants,ASP Obeng stressed that community policing thrives on strong collaboration between residents and law enforcement agencies. He urged the youth to remain vigilant and volunteer credible information on suspected criminal activities to help the police maintain law and order.
He further appealed to traditional authorities to educate their Asafoatsemei against unlawfully taking possession of lands that do not belong to them,warning that such actions often fuel land disputes,lengthy court battles,and undermine peace and development within communities.
The Omankrado of Opeikuma Kumbe,Nana Prempeh Abehoadze,also called on residents to embrace unity and settle disagreements through dialogue instead of litigation.
According to him,unnecessary conflicts continue to slow the pace of development in many communities.
He therefore urged residents to reject all forms of criminality and work together to promote peace,security,and sustainable development in Opeikuma Kumbe.
The Unity Health Walk brought together residents,traditional leaders,youth groups,and other stakeholders to promote community cohesion and reinforce the shared responsibility of safeguarding lives and property.
