The race for the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency Chairmanship of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken a significant political turn, following a strong declaration of support for Solomon Jabari by 100 delegates drawn from some branches of the constituency.
The delegates, representing a number of key electoral areas and branches within the constituency, have publicly expressed confidence in Mr.Jabari’s leadership credentials ahead of the October 24, 2026 NDC Constituency elections.
According to the delegates, their decision is based on their conviction that Solomon Jabari possesses the leadership qualities, grassroots connections and organisational capacity required to strengthen the NDC and reposition the party for electoral victory in future elections.
The declaration is being viewed by political observers within the constituency as a major boost for Team Jabari, particularly at a time when aspirants are intensifying their campaigns and engaging delegates across the various branches.
‘90% SUPPORT FOR JABARI’

Speaking on behalf of the delegates,Isaac Duah, popularly known as Professor, the Saviour,Afratia and Adumasa Electoral Area Coordinator, said the delegates were firmly behind Solomon Jabari and were prepared to give him overwhelming support at the polls.

The declaration could further intensify the chairmanship contest as the various candidates seek to consolidate support ahead of the October 24 polls.
JABARI THANKS DELEGATES

Responding to the declaration, Solomon Jabari expressed gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in his leadership.
He assured them that their support would not be taken for granted, promising to work diligently to fulfil the commitments contained in his campaign agenda if given the mandate to lead the constituency.
Mr.Jabari said his ambition goes beyond winning the chairmanship election, stressing that his ultimate objective is to build a united, disciplined, vibrant and electorally competitive NDC in Atwima Kwanwoma.
He further pledged to prioritise grassroots mobilisation, strengthen the party’s structures and bring constituency executives, branch executives, polling station officers, supporters and other stakeholders together around a common political objective.
According to him,a united constituency organisation will be critical to the NDC’s ability to compete effectively and reclaim political ground in Atwima Kwanwoma.
Meanwhile, the incumbent NDC Constituency Secretary,Lukeman Mumuni Wise, who is seeking re-election on the Team Jabari ticket, has also appealed to delegates to renew his mandate.
Mr. Mumuni argued that continuity and teamwork within the constituency executive are essential to strengthening the party’s organisational structures.

He called on delegates to support candidates who, in his view, have demonstrated commitment to the party and are prepared to work collectively to rebuild the NDC from the grassroots.
He said a strong and united constituency executive would be better positioned to mobilise supporters, strengthen branch structures and prepare the party for future electoral battles.
According to him, the ultimate political objective must be to reclaim the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency for the NDC through sustained grassroots mobilisation, effective organisation and unity.
POLITICAL MOMENTUM BUILDS
The latest endorsement adds to the growing political activity ahead of the October 24 NDC constituency elections, with aspirants and their supporters stepping up engagements with delegates across the constituency.
For Team Jabari, the declaration by the 100 delegates represents an important grassroots signal and could potentially strengthen the campaign’s momentum as election day approaches.
However, the projected 90 percent support remains a declaration by the delegates involved and should not be interpreted as an official election result until voting takes place.
With the chairmanship contest becoming increasingly competitive, attention is now turning to how the various aspirants will translate their grassroots campaigns, endorsements and delegate engagements into actual votes on October 24, 2026.
The battle for the NDC’s Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency leadership is clearly gathering momentum and Team Jabari appears determined to turn its grassroots support into victory at the polls.
