Sandra Esinam former Tv3 journalist writes

It’s disheartening to see a once-respected institution like Media General, where I previously worked, now being used to air questionable content that showcases a lack of intellectual rigor.

I’m baffled as to why the platform has allowed certain presenters to spread hate speech and nonsensical ideas. While I understand that the media landscape is becoming increasingly competitive, with bloggers and social media influencers vying for attention, a responsible media outlet like Media General should prioritize the nation’s interest and adhere to the principles of journalism.Unfortunately,

it seems that the Group CEO, is more focused on collecting awards and accolades than on maintaining the network’s journalistic integrity. This is a stark reminder that, as a nation, we often celebrate mediocrity over meritocracy. It’s a sad state of affairs, and I can only hope that Media General will rediscover its commitment to responsible and informative broadcasting. The decline of a once-noble institution is a loss not just for the media industry, but for the nation as a whole.
