    Nation Prepares for Final Farewell: Funeral Plans Announced for H.E.Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings

    The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, together with the Aboatia Abusua of Mpobi, the Dwirafiesohene and Dwirafieso Abusua of Antoa, and the Agyeman/Agyeman-Rawlings Families, has officially announced detailed arrangements for the final funeral rites of Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

    In a statement delivered on behalf of His Majesty, Oheneba Akwasi Abayie, Otumfuo Akomforehene, confirmed that the state funeral will take place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square, Accra.

    According to the family:

    • Funeral activities will begin promptly at 6:00 a.m. with the arrival of the cortege.
    • Mourners are required to wear black attire, as no official funeral cloth has been designated.
    • The event is open to the general public, with security and protocol officers positioned to guide attendees.
    • The ceremony at Independence Square will serve as the final funeral rites, with no further services to be held elsewhere.

    The family has urged the public to arrive early and adhere to all security and protocol directives to ensure a dignified and orderly national farewell.
