Prominent New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart and widely-tipped running mate prospect, Hon. Irene Naa Torshie Addo, has sent shockwaves through the political arena with a bold and unapologetic forecast: Kennedy Ohene Agyapong will win the upcoming NPP presidential primaries with a commanding 54% of valid votes.
With fiery confidence, Naa Torshie asserted that the outspoken Assin Central lawmaker and two-time presidential hopeful is heading for an “unstoppable and decisive” victory when delegates cast their ballots on January 31, 2026.
According to her, the mood across the grassroots is clear and it overwhelmingly favors Kennedy Agyapong.

“Kennedy Agyapong has the courage, the energy, the vibrance, and the credibility to restore the NPP’s image. Delegates know this, and that is why they will give him the nod,” she emphasized.
Naa Torshie argued that the NPP cannot afford to gamble with leadership at such a critical moment. She warned that the 2028 general elections will not be ‘a gentle game or dancing competition,’ but a high-stakes national contest requiring a bold, fearless, and battle-ready leader.
She further stressed that Agyapong is the only candidate capable of reversing the party’s declining fortunes and engineering a strong comeback.
Pointing to what she described as surging grassroots enthusiasm and unstoppable nationwide momentum, Naa Torshie insisted that the “good delegates of the NPP” will vote decisively to elevate Kennedy Agyapong as the party’s next flagbearer.
Her explosive prediction has ignited intense reactions within party circles, injecting fresh energy and intrigue into an already heated internal contest.
