A New Ghana Dream:Adutwum Vows to Make Bold Poverty History:

Hon. Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, a frontrunner in the race for the NPP’s 2028 presidential flagbearer slot, has made a resounding pledge: to make poverty a thing of the past in Ghana.

The former Education Minister declared that his presidential ambition is anchored on one driving mission lifting millions of Ghanaians out of poverty and building a nation of prosperity.

Speaking at a symposium organized by the Ashanti Youth Association (AYA) at the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi, Dr. Adutwum unveiled a bold development model inspired by China’s historic rise from poverty to global economic power.

“This level of poverty is not normal. If it had happened in the Western world, they would have found a solution long ago,” he stressed.

He explained that, just like China, Ghana can rewrite its economic story through strategic national planning, sound educational reforms, and transformative leadership.

Dr. Adutwum acknowledged the efforts of past leaders but maintained that Ghana needs a more radical and practical approach to break the cycle of deprivation.

“My goal is to make a difference that improves the lives of others,” he said with conviction, adding that poverty alleviation is not only possible but urgent and necessary.

As the NPP prepares for a crucial 2028 contest, Dr. Adutwum’s message of hope and economic renewal is already striking a chord among many Ghanaians who are eager for bold solutions to the nation’s long-standing challenges.
