Atwima Mponua District Assembly, SIF to Cut Sod for New Technical Training Centre at Otaakrom

The Atwima Mponua District Assembly in collaboration with the Social Investment Fund is set to hold a sod cutting ceremony for the establishment of a new Technical Training Centre at Otaakrom in the Ashanti Region.

The event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 19th May 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Otaakrom TVET Centre.

The initiative forms part of efforts by the Assembly and its development partners to strengthen technical and vocational education, empower the youth with employable skills and create sustainable job opportunities within the district.

According to the Assembly, the project is expected to play a significant role in promoting skills development and enhancing opportunities for young people across the Atwima Mponua District and beyond.

The Assembly has therefore extended an invitation to traditional authorities, stakeholders, youth groups, students and members of the general public to attend the ceremony and support the vision of transforming lives through technical education and sustainable development.

Authorities believe the establishment of the Technical Training Centre will contribute immensely to local economic growth and help equip the youth with practical knowledge needed for the modern job market.
