Hwereso-Donaaso Community Appeals to Otumfuo for Immediate settlement Ejisu disputes

Nana Fosuah Tieamanie, Obaapanin of Hyereso-Donaaso, in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region has appealed to Otumfuo, the Asantehene to permit her to bury the deceased chief of Hyereso-Donaaso, Nana Oppong Kesse III, who passed on nearly seven years ago.

Hyereso-Donaaso which is traditionally under Ejisu Traditional Area, swears its allegiances directly to Oguakro Afrane Okese II, Omanhene of Ejisumanhene, hence him being the “direct superior” to grant the the “permission”.

Due to some litigation issues (before Kumasi Traditional Council) between the Obaapanin and the Omanhene of Ejisu, hence the royal funeral rites of Nana Oppong Kesse III, hanging in balance.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Obaapanin Fosuah Tieamanie appealed to Otumfuo, the Asantehene to intercede in the “issue” and permit her bury her “Lord”, to avoid augmenting “mortuary cost”, which has been incurred over the period.

Nana Fosuah also disclosed that Ejisumanhemaa, Nana Yaa Asantewaa II has imposed a new “queen” on the people of Hyereso-Donaaso, which she claims is “illegitimate”, noting that “is only the chief of the town that can enstool a queenmother and vice versa”.

Nana Fosuah Tieamanie announced that she is the only legitimate Obaapanin of Hyereso-Donaaso, urging the people of Hyereso-Donaaso to heed to the decision of Ejisumanhemaa.
