Market Groups Appeal To Bawumia To Name Frema Osei Opare As Running Mate.
Two trader groups at the race cource market at Bantama, have appealed to the Vice President and Flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamodu Bawumia to select Madam Akosua Frema Osei Opare as his running mate.
The groups believe the party’s chances in the upcoming polls will be bolstered with the Chief of staff as running mate.
Addressing the media at separate encounters on Monday morning, Madam Naomi Serwaah, spokesperson for the fruit sellers at the race course noted that the humanitarian attribute of Madam Opare sets her apart as an ideal candidate for running mate.
“Everything about Madam Frema Osei Opare shows humanitarianism, and as an intelligent woman she can conveniently compliment Dr Bawumia on the ticket for the NPP”, the spokesperson stressed.
Generous Acts:
Madam Serwaah said traders at the market arena have been beneficiaries of the generous acts of the Chief of Staff.
She said every good project that has gone on at the race course has happened under the tenure of the Chief of staff.
This, she noted, shows that Ghanaians especially women who form the larger percentage of the population would have some relief when Madam Frema Osei Opare is made running mate to Dr Bawumia.
“We the fruit sellers as well as vegetable sellers are witnesses to progress happening in this market and we are sure that with such a loving heart displayed by the Chief of Staff to us, Ghanaians would be best served under her partnership in leadership with Dr Bawumia”, the spokesperson stated.
Yam Sellers Association:
Madam Felicia Nkrumah, spokesperson for the Yam sellers association stated that women have capacity to listen and act on concerns of people.
This attribute, she noted plays out in the life of Madam Frema Osei Opare and therefore their request that she is made running mate to Dr Bawumia.
The spokesperson said the 2024 elections would be a difficult one for the NPP and that the party’s chances could best be served when it elect someone who can be relied on.
“Dr Bawumia presents the best choice of the NPP retaining power in 2024 but he can only achieve that when he partners with a running mate who can best compliment him and we feel that in Madam Frema Osei Opare all the best attributes dwell richly”, Madam Nkrumah intimated.
