Business : ASSI Provides To 16 With Soft Loans, Partners Banks To Support Small Scale Industries In Ahafo Region

The Association of Small Scale Industries (ASSI), is an advocacy for every micro and small scale enterprise in Ghana. It is a member of the Private Enterprises Federation (PEF).

It has granted soft loans to 16 members in the Asutifi district in the Ahafo region with soft loan to improve their frontiers.

Through this, the association noted, our members can expand their business ventures and will be able to train more apprentices and employ a lot of people too.

Elder Daniel Ameyaw, Asutifi North and South Districts Secretary of ASSI, in a conversation with Journalists on Wednesday at Kenyasi said they hope to extend the loan facility to the rest of their members and artisans outside the association saying that individuals, groups and institutions are welcomed to support us.

ASSI in Asutifi district has over 600 registered members which it is improving their businesses through soft loans, technical advice, training workshops and financial management education among others.

He stated that “We have alsocollaborated with other financial institutions in Ahafo region to provide loans to members who are interested in higher loans at a very cheap interest rate and flexible payment system”.

Eld Ameyaw stresssed that the association alone cannot do this national service to the country and appealed to stakeholder institutions in and outside Ahafo region to collaborate with ASSI to do more.
