MobileMoney Fintech Limited has engaged Mobile Money (MoMo) agents, partners and other stakeholders in Kumasi to address operational challenges, strengthen collaboration and improve digital financial services.

The forum, held on Wednesday, also focused on new products, customer service and measures to protect agents and subscribers against fraud.

Speaking at the event,David Nana Addai,Mobile Money Channel and Development Manager for the Northern Sector, highlighted key operational issues, including Know Your Customer (KYC) updates, the revised cash-out process and the need for agents and merchants to update their databases.

He also outlined more than 45 products and services introduced by the company, alongside support packages available to agents, including insurance.

On the fight against MoMo fraud,Mr Addai disclosed that the company had strengthened its security systems and collaboration with state security agencies, leading to the arrest of some suspected fraudsters who are facing prosecution.

He added that the company was blocking not only telephone numbers associated with fraudulent activities but also phones used to commit such offences.

Mr Addai urged agents and subscribers to remain vigilant and never disclose their personal identification numbers (PINs), warning that sharing confidential details could expose their accounts to fraud.

He stressed that cooperation between the company, agents, subscribers and law enforcement agencies was essential to ensuring safer and more reliable mobile money services in Ghana.
