NPP Ejisu Primaries: VOTE FOR COMPETENCY, NOT FOR MONEY-NPP MAN TO NPP DELEGATES
An aspirant in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary for the Ejisu Constituency, Mr. Aaron Prince Duah, has urged the delegates of the party to elect one of their own (a grassroot member) to represent them, so as to encourage the up-and-coming ones that commitment to the cause of the party pays off.
He, however, cautioned the delegates not to allow anyone to influence them with money or material things to vote for people who have never attended the programmes and activities of the party for so many years.

“Where were they when we were busily doing the grassroot work several years ago? What has been their contributions to the party and the constituency?” he asked rhetorically.
Aaron Duah is a tutor at Ejisu Secondary Technical Senior High School, a former constituency campaign manager for the former MP for Ejisu, Akwasi Osei Adjei; a polling station and electoral area co-ordinator and a former youth organiser.
He stressed that the delegates should be bold enough to reject every parliamentary candidate they have never seen in their programmes and activities.
He added that during the construction of the modern Ejisu party office, which was initiated by the late MP, John Kumah, the other candidates sat outside the country and in Accra and never cared to donate anything to support the project, and they have now come to be voted for.
“Our late MP, John Kumah, before he became an MP, was a grassroot man because he was an electoral area co-ordinator, so let’s choose a grassroot person to replace him,” he appealed to the delegates.
“If you elect those new faces in the Ejisu politics, they will go back to stay in Accra; you’ll never see them again and the constituency will suffer,” he cautioned.
“My brothers and sisters, delegates, let’s send a strong signal to everyone that there is the need to recognise grassroot members and your brother Aaron Prince Duah is the only grassroot member among the candidates,” he indicated.
