Outspoken Ghanaian politician and businessman Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has once again provoked public debate with a bold reaffirmation of his outspoken political style and personal philosophy.

According to the former Assin Central legislator, who is also an aspiring NPP presidential candidate, he is not the trouble-maker his critics paint him to be, but rather a fearless defender of truth, especially in moments when silence would amount to complicity.

“I am not a troublesome person; I only speak when silence would betray the truth”Hon. Kennedy Agyapong

He explained that although many perceive his blunt approach as confrontational, it is guided by principles of fairness, accountability, and service to the nation.

Over the years, Agyapong has built a reputation for boldly confronting issues others shy away from, particularly those he believes are rooted in corruption, injustice, and hypocrisy. His latest statement further emphasizes his long-held belief that strong leadership requires the courage to speak uncomfortable truths.

While his stance continues to win him admiration from supporters who view him as an honest voice in Ghanaian politics, others argue that his straightforward approach sometimes fuels unnecessary tension.

Despite opposing reactions, Agyapong maintains that his mission is not to attack individuals for personal gain, but to defend the public interest, even when doing so carries political risk.

As conversations deepen regarding his future political direction, especially within the ruling New Patriotic Party, many are watching closely to see how his “truth-first” approach will influence his next steps.
