    TRAGEDY IN OTI REGION: THREE BURNT TO DEATH IN NKWANTA SOUTH CONFLICT

    Elderly man and two youths killed on farm as escalating violence forces residents to flee their homes

    NKWANTA SOUTH-Tensions have escalated sharply in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region following the brutal killing of three individuals linked to the ongoing local conflict.

    The victims,77-year-old Nana Achinake Iddrisu, 24-year-old Fusheni Achinake, and 17-year-old Nuhu Achinake,were reportedly attacked while working on their farm and subsequently burnt beyond recognition.

    The incident has sparked widespread fear across the area, forcing many residents to flee, leaving parts of the town nearly deserted amid concerns of further violence.

    Security agencies have yet to make any arrests in connection with the killings. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing as authorities work to restore calm and bring the perpetrators to justice.
