MTN Ghana has donated items and cash valued at GH₵20,000 to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam and Muslim leaders in Kumasi ahead of the 2026 Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.

The donation, which forms part of the company’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, included a ram, bags of rice, cooking oil, soft drinks, bottled water, bags of sugar, and a cash contribution of GH₵10,000.

The items were presented by Mr. Simon Amoh, Senior Manager of Sales for MTN’s Northern Ghana Business District, together with Madam Charity Darko and other key staff from the company.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Amoh noted that similar donations were extended to the National Chief Imam as well as Regional Chief Imams in the Northern and Western Regions, emphasizing that the gesture is part of MTN’s broader effort to strengthen its relationship with the Muslim community across the country.

He explained that the initiative is aimed at supporting Muslims during the final days of the Ramadan fast and to facilitate the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Executive Secretary to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Ustaz Ahmed Seidu, expressed appreciation to MTN for its consistent and long-standing support, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.

The donation underscores MTN’s enduring commitment to the Muslim community, continuing a tradition that has spanned over a decade of providing assistance during the holy month of Ramadan.
