The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), Atwima Mponua District, has received a major boost for its upcoming Nurses Week Celebration 2025, thanks to the generous support of Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua.

Responding to a sponsorship request from the Association, Hon. Osei Akoto donated a substantial amount running into thousands of Ghana cedis to power the event.

Explaining his motivation, the MP noted that the gesture reflects his strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and his unwavering support for health professionals. According to him, “nurses and midwives are at the frontline of saving lives and improving community health, and it is important to celebrate and motivate them.”

Leaders of GRNMA in the district welcomed the support with gratitude, describing it as a timely morale booster that will make this year’s celebration memorable and impactful.

The 2025 Nurses Week is scheduled to feature health screenings, educational workshops, community sensitization campaigns, and other activities designed to highlight the indispensable role of nurses and midwives in healthcare delivery.

Reaffirming his commitment to healthcare development in Atwima Mponua, Hon. Osei Akoto pledged to continue championing policies and initiatives that make health services more accessible to every resident. He further urged nurses and midwives to remain selfless, dedicated, and professional in their work, reminding them that “service in healthcare is not just a career but a noble calling.
