Fresh Leadership for Ekuona Abusua as Lawyer William Kusi Takes Mantle

The Ekuona family of New Juaben has ushered in a new chapter of leadership with the installation of Lawyer William Kusi, Esq. as its Abusuapanin.

His appointment comes after the burial of his elder brother, the late Abusuapanin Emmanuel Antwi Boateng, who was widely admired for his wisdom, integrity, and commitment to family unity and tradition.

Following the solemn funeral rites, the family convened in line with custom and unanimously endorsed Lawyer Kusi to succeed his late brother as the new head of the Abusua.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Kusi expressed deep gratitude for the trust reposed in him, pledging to safeguard the values of the Ekuona lineage while promoting unity and progress.

“This role is a sacred duty, not just a title. Together, we will build on the legacy of our forebears and move forward in unity and progress,” he said.

Family members believe Lawyer Kusi’s distinguished background in law and public service will strengthen his stewardship and help preserve the cohesion of the Abusua.

The installation, though marked by grief over the passing of a respected leader, also symbolizes renewal and continuity for the Ekuona family in Koforidua.
