The Assembly Member for Manso Takorase, Hon. Dominic Bonsu, has received overwhelming praise from health authorities and residents in the Amansie South District following his generous donation of medical equipment valued at millions of cedis to more than twenty-two (22) health facilities, including both government and private centers.
The donated items include hospital beds, mattresses, delivery beds, thermometer guns, blood pressure machines, wheelchairs, drip stands, stretchers, baby scales, ward screens, modern baby-weighing machines, and television sets, among others. The package also reportedly included specialized medical accessories such as MRI components, all geared towards enhancing quality healthcare delivery within the district.
Health officials described the support as timely and impactful, emphasizing that many health facilities continue to grapple with inadequate medical tools a situation that hampers the delivery of effective and life-saving care.

During the presentation, Hon. Dominic Bonsu said his motivation stems from a strong desire to strengthen the health sector to ensure the well-being of his people.
“Government alone cannot do it all without the support of its citizens,” he noted.
“I will continue to do my best to assist and rescue my people till thy Kingdom come.”
He further revealed plans to construct a modern toilet facility for the Takorase D/A School as part of his commitment to promoting sanitation and environmental cleanliness in the community.

Hon. Bonsu emphasized that healthcare delivery is a shared responsibility, requiring collaboration between the government, traditional authorities, private organizations, and development-focused individuals.

The donation was received by the District Director of Health Services, Mr. Ofosu Kwabi Nasas; Mr. Kwaku Abonɛɛ (Osama); and the District Planning Officer, Mr. Yaw Opoku. They applauded Hon. Bonsu for his thoughtful, life-changing gesture, describing it as a major relief at a time when many health facilities lacked the basic equipment necessary for effective service delivery.
They urged other philanthropists, individuals, and corporate bodies to emulate Hon. Bonsu’s example to help uplift healthcare standards and improve the lives of residents across the Amansie South District.
