    GHANA ARMED FORCES ARE NOW ECG  COLLECTORS-MPASATIA ASSEMBLY MEMBER:

    The Ghana Armed forces has now been commercialised, with soldiers allegedly being rented out as Electricity Company of Ghana debt collectors on their behalf.

    Mpasatia, the second largest town of Atwima Mponua district in the Ashanti region, are living in fear according to residents

    The Assembly member for Mpasatia Ahenbronomu Electoral Área, Hon. Karim Salifu revealed to Atwima Insight Online how the soldiers intimidates the residents. He said , number of soldiers were strangly seen going house to house with the prime aim of collecting electricity bills .

    He added that, the customers are unaware that they are going to deal with Soldiers in the payment of electricity bills, for that matter most of the them ran to nearby communities for safety.

    The team of soldiers fully dressed in military camouflage uniforms, that made the people of Mpasatia live in fear were not having any name tag in their uniforms as it is knownon our security workers, Hon Salifu disclosed.

    Hon. Salifu Karim is appealing to the government to find amicable way to collect their money.

    “Electricity Company of Ghana using soldiers as debt collectors in this 21st century is a disgrace to the country that most herself with digitilization . Any leader who asked for this should be call to order ” Hon. Karim Salifu.
