Amagashie Herbal Center CEO Calls for Promotion of Local Herbs, Warns Against Fake Prophets

The Chief Executive Officer of Amagashie Spiritual Herbal Center, Dr. Amagashie, has urged Ghanaians-particularly leaders and key stakeholders to place greater value on local herbal medicine and support its promotion in all sectors.

Speaking in an interview with www.dailywatchgh.com, Dr. Amagashie emphasized that herbal medicine remains Africa’s natural heritage and must be protected, developed, and embraced as a sustainable solution for the continent’s health needs.

He cautioned that neglecting indigenous herbal practices could contribute to rising cases of untimely deaths while leaving many vulnerable to the deception of self-styled “men of God” who exploit people with false prophecies.

“Our local herbs are our own as Africans. If we fail to recognize and promote them, we will continue to suffer needless deaths while others mislead us with fake prophecies,” Dr. Amagashie stated.

He therefore called on government, traditional leaders, health professionals, and civil society to collaborate in advancing the research, production, and use of herbal medicine in Ghana and across Africa.
