Enough of the Lies Lawyer Anyenini’s Unethical Attack on Hon. Kennedy Agyapong Exposed:
It has come to our attention that Lawyer Sampson Lardi Anyenini, on his platform Newsfile on JoyNews, has launched a series of unwarranted, defamatory, and reckless attacks on the person and character of Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong. Such baseless allegations, devoid of factual backing and professional ethics, are not only disgraceful but also reveal a disturbing pattern of biased and unsubstantiated commentary that has unfortunately become synonymous with Mr. Anyenini’s public discourse.
It is both reckless and professionally irresponsible to claim that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong lies, blackmails, or threatens judges without a shred of credible judicial evidence. Ghana operates under the rule of law, where every citizen is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a competent court of law. The absence of any criminal prosecution or judicial ruling against Hon. Agyapong regarding these accusations is a clear indication of the baselessness of these claims. To peddle such damaging narratives on a respected platform like Newsfile is not just mischievous but legally defamatory.
Lawyer Anyenini, despite his media presence, lacks the depth and experience expected of seasoned legal minds. His tendency to make sweeping statements without factual grounding is not only unprofessional but also undermines the ethical standards expected of those who claim legal expertise. His consistent failure to substantiate these claims reveals a deeper personal grudge rather than any commitment to truth or justice.
Lawyer William Kusi, a private legal practitioner made the above disclosure with this medium ,www.dailywatchgh.com on the occasion of his birthday celebration which was held at his private residence on Sunday,18th May 2025.
The assertion that Hon. Agyapong made treasonable comments and “gotten away” with them is both ignorant and misleading. It is a matter of public record that Hon. Agyapong was, indeed, taken to court on allegations of treason. However, after a thorough judicial process, he was acquitted and found not guilty. This outcome clearly demonstrates that the allegations lacked merit, and to suggest otherwise is not only defamatory but also an attempt to tarnish his hard-earned reputation.
Moreover, how Hon. Agyapong chooses to express his opinions—whether bluntly or passionately—remains his personal liberty, as long as it does not amount to contempt of court. In a democracy, expressing disagreement with court rulings, however forcefully, does not amount to criminality. Lawyer Anyenini’s deliberate attempt to conflate emotional reactions with criminal intent is not only legally flawed but intellectually lazy.
Mr. Anyenini’s analysis of the U.S. defamation case involving Anas and Hon. Agyapong further exposes his lack of comprehension or, worse, his willful distortion of facts. While a jury in New Jersey initially awarded damages, the judge later revised the amount based on legal standards, demonstrating the application of due process. Misrepresenting this outcome as evidence of Hon. Agyapong’s dishonesty is not only misleading but also exhibits a dangerous level of legal ignorance unbecoming of a lawyer of Mr. Anyenini’s standing.
It is equally appalling that Mr. Anyenini would undermine Hon. Agyapong’s entrepreneurial achievements by insinuating that his wealth is rooted in political privilege. Hon. Agyapong’s business acumen predates his political career, with legitimate ventures spanning several decades. His contributions to society through philanthropy, job creation, and community support are widely acknowledged and respected. Any attempt to diminish these accomplishments is not only disrespectful but also exposes Mr. Anyenini’s deep-seated envy and personal bias.
The suggestion that Hon. Agyapong’s legal victories were later invalidated by comments from Justices Kulendi and Tanko is a gross misrepresentation of the judicial process. Judges can hold differing views on legal matters, but only the ruling bench’s decision holds judicial authority. Any insinuation that dissenting opinions automatically discredit Hon. Agyapong’s legal win is patently false and legally untenable.
Lawyer Anyenini’s continued, unprovoked attacks on Hon. Agyapong’s integrity are indicative of a man desperately clutching at straws to remain relevant in public discourse. It is hypocritical for a lawyer with a questionable professional record to criticize a man whose achievements in both business and politics are indisputable. Mr. Anyenini would do well to reflect on his own shortcomings before attempting to discredit the hard-earned reputation of Hon. Agyapong.
In light of the gravity of these defamatory statements, we demand that Lawyer Sampson Lardi Anyenini return to the same platform, Newsfile on JoyNews, to render an unqualified apology to Hon. Kennedy Agyapong by the close of Tuesday. Failure to do so will compel Hon. Agyapong’s legal team to take the necessary steps to address this deliberate and malicious attack through the appropriate legal channels.
Hon. Kennedy Agyapong remains an outspoken, principled leader who will not be silenced by baseless accusations or cowardly media attacks. His commitment to truth, justice, and the welfare of the underprivileged will not be derailed by the petty and unprofessional antics of individuals like Lawyer Sampson Lardi Anyenini. No amount of journalistic malpractice or personal vendetta will succeed in tarnishing a legacy built on hard work, dedication, and unwavering patriotism.
