    GHANA POLICE SERVICE INTERDICTS AN OFFICER FOR ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTING A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC

     

    The Ghana Police Service has interdicted a Police officer, № 49187 General Corporal Wise Bessey, stationed at the Takoradi District Police Command, for an alleged assault on a member of the public in Takoradi in the Western Region.

    The interdiction is to allow for a thorough investigation into the incident and the professional conduct of the Police officer in line with Police Service Regulations.

    The victim has been contacted by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare and, the IGP has assured him of the needed Police assistance and a thorough investigation into the incident.

    We would like to assure the general public that the Police will continue to ensure that professionalism is maintained at all times in the discharge of our mandate.
