Over 22 hospitals benefit as Hon. Bonsu supplies critical medical equipment worth millions

The Assembly Member for Manso Takorase in the Amansie South District, Hon. Dominic Bonsu, has earned widespread praise from health authorities and residents following his generous donation of medical equipment valued at millions of cedis to more than twenty-two (22) health facilities across the district. The beneficiaries include both government-owned and private medical centers.

The donated items include hospital beds, mattresses, delivery beds, thermometer guns, blood-pressure machines, wheelchairs, drip stands, stretchers, baby scales, ward screens, modern baby-weighing machines, and television sets, among others. The support package also reportedly included specialized medical accessories such as MRI components, all aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery within the district.

Health officials described the donation as timely and impactful, noting that many health centers continue to struggle with inadequate equipment-one of the biggest barriers to effective and life-saving medical care.

Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Bonsu said his motivation is rooted in his desire to improve the health and well-being of his people.

“Government alone cannot do it all without the support of its citizens,” he noted. “I will continue to do my best to assist and rescue my people till thy Kingdom come.”

He further announced plans to construct a modern toilet facility for the Takorase D/A School as part of ongoing efforts to promote sanitation and environmental cleanliness in the community.

Hon. Bonsu emphasized that healthcare delivery is a shared responsibility, calling for stronger collaboration among government, traditional authorities, private organizations, and development-focused individuals.

The items were officially received by the District Director of Health Services, Mr. Ofosu Kwabi Nasas; Mr. Kwaku Abonɛɛ (Osama); and the District Planning Officer, Mr. Yaw Opoku. They praised Hon. Bonsu for his thoughtful and life-changing gesture, describing it as a major relief at a time when many health facilities lack basic tools needed for effective service delivery.

They further urged philanthropists, individuals, and corporate bodies to emulate Hon. Bonsu’s example by supporting healthcare institutions and improving the lives of residents across the Amansie South District.
