The Ghana Police Service at the Abuakwa Division recently hosted its annual ‘WASSA’ celebration, an event dedicated to recognizing the dedication, courage, and professionalism of officers serving Nwabiagya South. It was a privilege to join the celebration and witness firsthand the appreciation extended to the men and women who tirelessly safeguard our communities.

Throughout the year, the officers have demonstrated unwavering commitment, consistently putting themselves on the frontlines to maintain peace, protect lives, and secure property across the municipality. From patrolling neighborhoods to supporting critical operations, their efforts have been instrumental in ensuring that residents feel safe, confident, and supported.

At the event, Hon. Wisdom Osei Boama, Municipal Chief of Atwima Nwabiagya South, emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between the community and law enforcement, highlighting that sustained security and public safety are achieved through joint effort. I also reaffirmed our support for the Ghana Police Service under the leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, noting that their work inspires confidence and strengthens the social fabric of our communities.

The ‘WASSA’ celebration was more than a ceremonial event-it was an opportunity to reflect on achievements, acknowledge sacrifices, and renew commitments to building safer communities. Officers were recognized for their diligence, professionalism, and the countless hours they dedicate to serving the public, often in challenging conditions.

Looking ahead to 2026, the municipality is committed to deepening partnerships with our officers, ensuring they have the necessary resources, recognition, and community backing to continue their vital work. This support is central to fostering an environment where police officers can perform their duties effectively and residents can enjoy peace of mind.

To all our brave men and women in uniform-Ahooo! Ahoyaa! Your courage, discipline, and dedication inspire us all. Together, we are building a safer, stronger, and more united Nwabiagya South, where residents and law enforcement stand as partners in progress.
