The health of the people is the wealth of the country,the Member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency who doubles as the Deputy Defense Minister,Hon Lawyer KOFI AMANKWAA-MANU On Friday, 1st March, 2024, together with the District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director and other management members of Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, the Assembly Members for Trabuom/Hwediem & Boko Electoral Areas, Nananom and the Constituency Party Officers broke ground for the construction of two (2) toilet facilities in Hwediem and Boko communities as one of his campaign promises made.

 

With this ground breaking ceremony, the decades old toilet problem of the two communities shall be resolved in the next few weeks. He charged all the contractors to be very diligent in their work and also follow the timelines attached to the contract – 12 weeks.

According to him,Sanitation is one of the  major concern facing the good people of Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency. “He said,A needs assessment conducted when I assumed office as Member of Parliament (MP) in 2021 revealed that, ‘sanitation needs’ was the 2nd most prioritized need of my constituents apart from poor roads network system affecting the day to day activities of constituents”.  With your effective support as citizens,my goals can be accomplished,he appealed.

 

At Boko, Hon Kofi Amankwa-Manu,the Ghana’s deputy defense Minister also donated 20 pieces of street bulbs to Nananom and the Assembly Member to improve the safety of the people especially at night. After the sod-cutting, the team and the second term MP, paid a courtesy call on the Zongo Chief (Sariki) of Boko where he used the opportunity to officially handover to the Chief and the zongo community, a mechanized water facility  constructed for last year.

He showed appreciation to Nananom and the entire community for their warm reception.
