JUST IN:THREATS ON THE LIFE OF NENE TERKPERTEY AGBLEZEY, PRESIDENT OF GHANA NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FARMERS AND FISHERMEN (GNAFF)

We have received disturbing reports that Nene Terkpertey Agblezey, President of the Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen (GNAFF) and Gyaase Hene of Kodiabe in the Shai Osoduku Traditional Area, has been receiving death threats from a group of young men for the past two weeks.

CONSTRAINTS ON MOVEMENT

Due to these threats, Nene Terkpertey Agblezey is currently confined to his home and unable to carry out his duties, national assignment including a planned visit to the drought-stricken areas in the northern part of the country to assess the situation and provide support to affected farmers.

CALL FOR PROTECTION

We urgently call on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the National Security to provide Nene Terkpertey Agblezey with the necessary protection and security to ensure his safety and enable him to carry out his duties without fear of harm.
