Kwadaso MP: “Ghana Needs Governance, Not Prophecies”-Blasts NDC Over Prophecy Review Committee

Hon. Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, Member of Parliament for the Kwadaso Constituency in the Ashanti Region, has taken a firm swipe at the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), insisting that Ghana’s urgent needs lie in good governance and visionary leadership—not in prophecy reviews.

Speaking at the three-day Lactation Conference organized by HopeXchange Medical Center on Wednesday, 13th August 2025, Dr. Nyarko underscored that Ghana’s development hinges on policies driven by knowledge, innovation, and continuity of good governance, not the establishment of committees on prophecy.

He expressed disappointment over the NDC’s decision to constitute a Prophecy Review Committee under the leadership of Hon. Afriyie Ankrah, describing the move as a misplaced priority at a time when citizens are grappling with unemployment, economic hardship, and challenges in the health and education sectors.

“Committees on prophecy review will not solve Ghana’s problems. What we need are leaders who understand governance, appreciate the achievements of previous administrations, and are ready to move the country forward,” he said firmly.

Dr. Nyarko argued that the current socio-economic climate demands practical leadership and credible policy interventions that address bread-and-butter issues confronting ordinary Ghanaians—not what he termed “political theatrics clothed in religion.”

The Kwadaso MP reminded the NDC government that the people of Ghana are demanding affordable healthcare, quality education, job creation, economic stability, and improved infrastructure not distractions.

Citing the Pokuase Road project and several other initiatives started under the NPP administration but left abandoned, he criticized the government for neglecting projects that could directly benefit citizens.

He therefore called on the NDC to immediately realign its priorities with the pressing needs of the people, warning that history will not be kind to any administration that fails to deliver real solutions to the challenges of the nation.
