MTN Ghana Supports Katinguli RC and Baale LA Primary Schools with Uniform Donations
MTN Ghana has brought smiles to students of Katinguli RC and Baale LA Primary Schools in the Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region by donating school uniforms. This initiative forms part of the company’s annual “21 Days of Y’ello Care” campaign, which runs from June 1 to June 21 and involves MTN employees volunteering to give back to communities across the country.
This year’s campaign theme, “Connecting at the Root: Connecting Communities Through the Use of Digital Tools,” highlights MTN’s commitment to bridging the digital divide while addressing basic educational needs.
Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Mohammed Bawa Ziblim, headteacher of Katinguli RC, thanked MTN Ghana for their kind gesture and appealed for further support. He called on the company to assist in constructing a six-unit classroom block, as students currently study under trees due to lack of infrastructure.
Similarly, Mr. Dauda Shani, headteacher of Baale LA Primary School, welcomed the donation and also pleaded for support in replacing their temporary makeshift classrooms with a permanent structure.
Community member Mr. Uboi Baabe, speaking on behalf of both communities, extended appreciation to MTN Ghana and echoed the call for classroom blocks to enhance the learning environment.
MTN’s gesture underscores its broader mission to not only connect Ghanaians digitally, but also uplift communities physically and socially.
