MTN Ghana Takes a Seat at the PMI Global Executive Table,And Puts Africa in the Spotlight:
Big news for Ghana, big news for Africa: MTN Ghana has just joined the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Global Executive Council (GEC),an invite-only circle of global heavyweights shaping the future of project leadership.
This isn’t just a corporate pat on the back. It’s a bold signal that Africa’s voice is getting louder in boardrooms where the rules of high-impact project delivery are written.
What’s the Big Deal About the GEC?
Think of the GEC as the VIP room of project management. Only organizations with a proven track record in governance, innovation, and execution get an invite.
For MTN Ghana, that means access to exclusive research, executive training, and high-level forums, worth over $68,000 in value, plus a chance to influence how major projects are planned and delivered globally.
MTN Ghana’s council seat will be led by:
William Tetteh – Chief Transformation Officer
Bernard Blewusi Agblevor – Coordinator, Project Fibre Network
Jonas Nanzoninge – Senior Manager, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office
Eunice Nelson-Cofie – Senior Manager, Project Facilities Implementation
Jerry Nyamekye – Senior Manager, Transport Implementation.
They’ll be bringing their combined expertise to global conversations on project excellence.
A Proud Moment for Africa
PMI called it a “defining moment for Africa,” while William Tetteh summed it up best:
This recognition confirms that MTN Ghana’s project delivery standards, governance frameworks, and execution capability are globally benchmarked. It reinforces our ambition to lead not only in connectivity but also in project strategy and value realization.
Why It Matters
With 28 years of driving telecom innovation — from mobile money to nationwide digital infrastructure — MTN Ghana isn’t just building connections. It’s building a legacy.
Now, as a PMI GEC member, it’s helping shape the future of project management worldwide, flying the African flag high in the process.
