NYINAHIN Goes All Out For National Sanitation Day

Nyinahin Residents Join Hands to Mark National Sanitation Day

Nyinahin township came alive as residents, staff of the Atwima Mponua District Assembly, and various community groups turned out in large numbers to observe the National Sanitation Day with a massive cleanup exercise.

The exercise saw participants desilting gutters, sweeping streets, and clearing refuse dumps in a united effort to promote cleanliness and healthy living. The impressive turnout reflected the strong sense of community spirit in Nyinahin, as people from all walks of life came together with one common goal to make the town cleaner, safer, and healthier.

District Chief Executive for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Issahaku Ibrahim, praised the enthusiasm of the residents. “Today’s turnout shows the true spirit of unity. When we work together, we can build a cleaner and healthier Atwima Mponua for generations to come,” he said.

Some community members also shared their thoughts. Madam Abena Konadu, a resident of Nyinahin, remarked: “We are proud to do this for our town. Cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility, not just the Assembly’s.”

The leadership of the Assembly expressed appreciation to all who participated, emphasizing that the success of the exercise proves that “cleanliness is indeed next to godliness.” They further called on residents to sustain the spirit of communal labor beyond the monthly sanitation day to ensure Nyinahin and Atwima Mponua remain clean and beautiful.

The National Sanitation Day, introduced by government to promote hygiene and reduce sanitation-related diseases, continues to receive massive support in communities across the country.
