Regulating Okada Operation A critical issue-hon Seth Osei Akoto Pushes for its fulfillment:

As Ghanaians are quietly prepared to welcome this year’s Budget to Parliament by the Ghana’s finance minister, Cassiel Ato Forson scheduled on Tuesday, 11,March 2025, Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua constituency, has called on President John Dramani Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to fulfill their promise to regulate motorcycle operations. This promise was made during the President’s recent State of the Nation address.

He’s calling on the government to take concrete actions to regulate okada operations, ensuring safety and order in areas where these motorcycles operate.

The regulation of okada operations is a critical issue, as it affects the livelihoods of many Ghanaians. The government’s promise to address this issue was a key campaign pledge, and Hon. Akoto is pushing for its fulfillment.

Hon. Akoto made these remarks during his Thanksgiving service tour to churches in Nyinahin, emphasizing his commitment to holding the ruling party accountable for their campaign promises, including those made during the 2024 general elections.

As a member of the minority in Parliament, Hon. Akoto’s efforts aim to ensure the ruling party follows through on its commitments. His actions demonstrate his dedication to serving his constituents and promoting accountability in governance.

Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua constituency, called on the current Finance Minister hon Atto Forson to acknowledge the significant economic achievements of the past NPP-led Akufo-Addo government without politicizing the issue. He’s expecting the Minister to hail the government’s “massive, history, and precarious economic records”.

Additionally, Hon. Akoto again urged the governing NDC to complete the Agenda 111 hospital projects and other developmental initiatives started by the previous NPP government. He’s also advocating for the continuation of the free education program, emphasizing that these projects should benefit all Ghanaians without being tainted by political agenda.

It’s worth noting that Hon. Akoto has been vocal about his expectations from the current government, and his commitment to holding them accountable for their campaign promises. As a member of the opposition NPP, he’s been actively engaging with his constituents and pushing for policies that benefit the community, most especially his constituents and Ghanaians at large

DJ Philip, on behalf of the concerned youth of Atwima, is praising Hon. Seth Osei Akoto for his outstanding submission. DJ Philip, whose real name is Philip Kwabena Nyame, commended Hon. Akoto’s efforts and assured that the youth will take it upon themselves to visit all affected areas to resolve the issue once and for all, should the ruling NDC fail to attend to their cry.

This development comes after Hon. Akoto urged the government to regulate okada operations, ensuring safety and order in areas where these motorcycles operate.
