Wassa Amenfi East MCE install transformers to stabilize power supply:

The Municipal Chief Executive of Wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah has initiated a mission to provide stable electricity supply in the municipality, a significant goal for both domestic and commercial purposes.

For years, some suburbs in Amenfi East have struggled with power challenges, including faulty transmission lines, collapsed poles, and damaged transformers, leading to frequent power fluctuations.

However, under Hon. Ebbah’s leadership, the municipality is undertaking bold and permanent solutions to address these issues.

Recently, a new 100KVA electricity transformer was installed to serve the Wasa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly, including the Eastern and Northern parts of settlements in Amenfi East.

This move, Hon. Nana Ebbah says it’s expected to resolve the total blackout experienced in some areas near the highway for almost two months.

The Wassa Amenfi East MCE reveals that next week, another 100KVA electricity transformer is slated for installation to serve the Western and Southern parts of the municipality.

Beneficiary areas include settlements near Boakyewaa Hotel and parts of Wassa Adesu and its environs.

According to Hon. Ebbah, the ultimate goal is to stabilize power supply and extend electricity to areas cut off from the national grid.

Hon. Ebbah emphasized that electricity extension plays a significant role in the municipality’s economic diversity, making prompt response to residents’ needs crucial.

He commended the engineers and Electricity Company of Ghana staff for their dedication to ensuring electricity reaches residents’ homes.

According to the MCE, the initiative aligns with the municipality’s vision to create a progressive municipality that efficiently serves its people through strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
