MTN Ghana’s 2025 Y’ellocare program trains 12 Youths in mobile phone repairs at Nyinahin:
MTN Ghana’s 2025 Y’ello Care program has indeed trained 12 youths in mobile phone repairs at Nyinahin, in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region. The training, part of the company’s 21-day corporate social responsibility initiative, aims to equip young people with practical skills for self-employment and long-term economic inclusion.
The training covered various areas such as,repairing faults in phone’s integrated circuits,repairing cracked or damaged phone screens,Charging Fault Fixing,resolving network connectivity problems and also iCloud Bypass and SIM Unlocking.
Upon completing a 3-week extensive training, the youths received certificates and startup tools, including multimeters and precision screwdrivers, to help them establish their own phone repair businesses.The initiative obviously indicating that ,MTN Ghana intends empowering young people with digital skills, promote entrepreneurship and bridge the digital divide in communities.
The training programmes formed part of the 21 day Y’ellocare initiative by MTN where staff do volunteer work and initiatives in communities selected.
This year in the Northern Business District of MTN Ghana, Unity Fashions in Asokwa played host to MTN staff and volunteers learnt fashion designing and others. The trainer of the 12 trainees, Abdul Awudu also talks about the things he taught at the data center while Peter Bonsu, a trainee also gives stock of how the training has been beneficial to him and his other colleagues.
