Sekyere Kumawu DCE Hits the Ground Running with Thank You Tour

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Kumawu, Hon. Kwasi Amankwa, has kicked off a Thank You Tour to personally appreciate the chiefs, elders, and people of Kumawu for their unwavering support.

The DCE didn’t go alone-he was backed by a strong team including District Coordinating Director Emmanuel Appia-Kubi, heads of department, security officers, the ambulance service, Constituency Chairman Mr. Hamidu Issaka, Presiding Member Richard Gyamfi, and some NDC faithful. Their mission? To strengthen ties with the community and get a firsthand feel of the challenges on the ground.

And the people didn’t hold back. From bad roads and broken school facilities to water shortages, unreliable electricity, and inadequate health services, the communities laid it all out. Hon. Amankwa, in response, promised that the assembly will push hard to address these concerns.

On a brighter note, the DCE revealed that Kumawu will soon benefit from President John Mahama’s “Feed Ghana” initiative, an agricultural project set to empower farmers and boost food production. He also gave assurance that abandoned projects, especially the Kumawu road, remain high on the government’s agenda.

The Kumawu Bodomasehene, Baffour Atta Tweneboah, added his voice, urging the DCE to join forces with the area’s Member of Parliament, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, to fast-track development.

Wrapping up, Hon. Amankwa had a message of hope for the youth: better days are ahead. He stressed his commitment to improving opportunities and livelihoods in the Sekyere Kumawu District.
