The Chief Executive Officer of NBN Roofing Enterprise, Nana Baffour, has appealed to Ghanaians to show stronger support for the country’s security personnel, stressing that their sacrifices are vital in keeping communities safe.

Speaking at the Ashanti South Regional Police Service’s annual thanksgiving,get-together and awards presentation in Bekwai, the philanthropist and businessman said government alone cannot bear the burden of maintaining peace and order, since security is a shared responsibility.

“Security is the foundation of development. When we support the police, the military, and other security agencies with resources, we help reduce insecurity and protect lives. Government cannot do it alone,” he said.

The Bekwai area, which now falls under the newly created Ashanti South Regional Police Command, has enjoyed calm and stability since its establishment. Nana Baffour attributed this to the hard work of the security services and pledged his continuous backing.

As part of his contribution, he recently constructed and donated an ultra-modern police edifice to the service, a gesture he believes will strengthen law enforcement in the area.

He further assured that he remains committed to partnering with security agencies to ensure lasting peace in Bekwai and beyond.

ASP Darkwa expressed deep appreciation to private individuals and philanthropists who continue to support the service. He made special mention of Nana Baffour, who recently donated a brand-new vehicle to enhance police operations in the area. He further appealed to other benevolent individuals and organizations to extend similar assistance, particularly in the provision of vehicles and logistics to strengthen security.

ASP Darkwa, who also doubles as Apagyahene of Akyem Abompe in the Eastern Region under the stool name Baffour Darkwa I, admonished the youth to desist from lifestyles and practices that could jeopardize their future. He encouraged them to embrace discipline, morality, and hard work, reminding them that they are the future leaders of the nation.
