Ashanti Regional Minister Encourages Local Investment to Boost Tourism and Hospitality
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Honourable Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has called on local investors, especially those within the region to increase their investments in the Ashanti Region to drive growth in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Speaking at the official commissioning of the (3)three-star Golden Dew Hotel at Nkawie, located near the Fire Service Station, Dr. Amoakohene emphasized the crucial role local investors play in the development of the region.
“No one can develop our region better than we can ourselves,” he stated. “If we invest in our own land, our economic aspirations can be fulfilled without relying heavily on external support.”
The Minister described the establishment of the Golden Dew Hotel as a step in the right direction, noting that such projects not only create jobs but also attract visitors and enhance the region’s economic outlook. Dr. Amoakohene further stated that increased investment in the Ashanti Region could significantly help reduce the high unemployment rate among the youth. He also pledged his full commitment, as the representative of the ruling government, to support businesses in the region.
“We will do all we can to provide the necessary support and create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive in the Ashanti Region,” he assured.
