Atwima Yabi residents reacts to false allegations that Yabihene attacks by armed thugs.

A section of aggrieved residents in Atwima Yabi in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of Ashanti region have described as false, the allegations circulating on social media platforms that, armed thugs have attacked Yabihene and his elders over Akoagya land disputes.

Giving an explanation to the earlier statement the residents said the reports was false, fabricated as a calculated attempt by Yabihene to tarnish the images of the Yabi town and residents resides the area.

The residents indicated that they are living in a state of fear and panic just because,Akontomire Kwame Frimpong Ababio,Yabihene has been using armed machomen to harass them. The current situation in the area is posing threat to our life, they said.

According to them, the alleged accusations against theToase hene, Asafohene, Bantama hene, Atwimahene, and Afasiebonhene cannot be substantiated because the aforementioned chiefs have no hands about what is going on at Yabi.

Addressing the media at a press conference held at Yabi the residents emphatically made it clear that, Yabihene is not ready to promote peaceful coexistence among the peace loving citizens of Yabi but he is rather doing things for his own interest.

They reiterated that it was Yabihene who personally invited armed Machomen with guns and other weapong to the town to harass the farmers as the video below shows.

In the process, Yabihene slapped one of the residents, therefore his false claims deserve to be treated with contempt.

He is trying to put fear in us by using Machomen to threaten us, a move we have resolved to resist at any time, the residents conjectured.
