Women Entrepreneurs Benefit from MTN Nkosuo Initiative

Hundreds of women tailors and dressmakers across Ghana have received business and digital skills training under the MTN Nkosuo initiative led by MTN Ghana in partnership with Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) and Kola Market.

The programme, organised by MobileMoney Fintech Limited during the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association mini conference at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, focused on bookkeeping, digital marketing, financial management, and mobile money operations for women-led MSMEs.

Speaking to journalists, Charles Osei-Wusu said the initiative aims to help small businesses embrace digital transformation and improve growth opportunities. He added that the programme will soon be extended to Accra, Takoradi, and Tamale.

CEO of Kola Market, Marie-Reine Seshie, and UMB’s Head of Corporate Communications, Edem Knight-Tay, both reaffirmed their commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs and supporting SMEs with digital and financial solutions.
